Oh that’s just fucking wonderful…

First I’d like to say that “They be bouncin their Jeeps on the New York streets” is a fucking idiotic song to use for advertising a Jeep – as the only time a Jeep or any other vehicle bounces on a New York street there’s usually some senile old fart driving and a dozen school children or pedestrians in the path.

Second, looks like I’ve got Lyme disease. How the hell I managed to get this in the middle of winter is beyond me. Started off with a bite under my arm about 3 weeks ago. After the bite, I caught this nasty bug that everyone seemed to get. Once I cleared that bug after 2 weeks away from the gym, my left foot started to ache.

I couldn’t figure out why, and surmised it was caused by how I sit at home or work. So I went to the gym last Wednesday, did my usual workout and still fell a little crappy so I skipped Friday. Saturday I woke up and I couldn’t walk. I literally could not put any weight on either of my heels. So my girl and I took a wild guess that leg-pressing a few times my body weight wearing Converse All-Stars wasn’t too bright. We took a trip out to Rockaway mall to pick up a new pair of cross-training/walking sneakers for the gym. Didn’t find what I wanted, so I took it easy the rest of the weekend until I could go to the doctor on Monday.

Doctor looked at the symptoms and said it is either Gout or Lyme Disease, but with my other symptoms, it was most likely Lyme. I’m still waiting on the bloodtest results, but for now I’m on very strong antibiotics as well as anti-inflammatory medication for my feet. Yesterday I crashed at about 2pm and slept for 2 hours, today was the same. Ended up logging back in to get some work done later on but I still can’t walk too well and I’m not exactly my usually spry self.

So beween my feet, this fatigue, and about 2 weeks worth of migranes every time I wore my contact lenses (every day until I figured out the cause), I’m a fuckin mess. Worse part is, I can’t even drink. Blech.
