The safest bet… is to just stand and take it.
Money doesn’t matter… possessions don’t matter…
Beating myself up doesn’t help…
I can’t run…
I can’t hide…
I can only endure…
Long for the days when things were better…
While not falling victim to the fear and anxiety…
As I am torn apart by forces that seem larger than life…
Forsaking all I held dear for so long…
Just so one day… I can try again…
