“Every record has been destroyed or falsified, every book rewritten, every picture has been repainted, every statue and street building has been renamed, every date has been altered. And the process is continuing day by day and minute by minute. History has stopped. Nothing exists except an endless present in which the Party is always right.” – George Orwell, 1984.
Looking at the Facebook posts of my “friends” I must be a Nazi simply because I don’t buy the media’s story or manipulations of the Charlottesville incident. Even the ones not bold or ignorant enough to directly lob these bullshit label grenades still click “like” instead of patting the misinformed useful idiot on the head and ignoring the tantrum. The media controls the story – Trump is doing his damnest to try and stem the tide but logic and truth are getting drowned the hell out.
What a world it could be if the media simply reported the news instead of creating or shaping it. Trump says there were peaceful protestors at the site, upset about the removal of historic monuments (put up by Democrats) when others rushed in with weapons. The video is out there, to ignore it is to completely lack intellectual honesty… but we’re past that. The establishment WANTS emotional reaction. They want truth and logic to be buried under fire and fury funded by George Soros and his bile spewing ilk. There’s always more than one side to hate, Mr Swarzenegger. Multiple hate groups stole the attention from anyone simply there to protest removing the statue, but the media and those who can’t seem to think outside the media’s confines only seem interested on acknowledging the ones who weren’t paid to be there.
It seems every week there’s some new accusation against the plain old ordinary right wingers like me. When I look at the left, I don’t paint them all with the broad brush of those idiots who were burning books and rioting at Berkely and would expect the same in return but hey – logic’s a bitch when your every thought is shaped by a fake news media hell bent on controlling the story.
I could take the easy way out and say “Hey, but there’s a statue of Lenin in Seattle, and he’s responsible for more deaths than Robert E Lee ever was” but hey – I don’t believe history should be rewritten. If the people of Seattle honestly think Lenin deserves a statue, then I believe they’ve got the right to look like blithering idiots in the annals of history.
