Not sure how I missed this one…

So anyone with at least half a functioning brain, which excludes most Democrat voters in the contiguous 48 states and just about everyone who has moved into Warwick in the past 10 years, knows that what the media reports in this country and what is actually taking place in Iraq and Afghanistan are two entirely different things.

I get this email the other day with a video in it and hadn’t gotten around to watch it until this morning. A while back, a Liberal Representative from PA named John Murtha made the mistake of actually acting on the bullshit they preach and proposed an immediate pullout of our forces from Iraq.

Republicans called him on it, put it to vote, and except for 3 Liberals (Murtha even voted against his own proposal) every single Representative who voted, voted against it.

That being said, the never ending propaganda from the left continues, and every once and awhile they make the mistake of having a free-thinker in the audience. That’s where Seargant Mark Seavey comes in. Guy is at a town-hall meeting on the War in Iraq and absolutely DECIMATED both Murtha and Moran. Best response Moran had was that Seavey didn’t have a question, was a statement, and then he moved on to another question.

I’ve mirrored the video here at tothemetal.net for your viewing pleasure. The extended entry has a transcript of the video. It was an absolute treat to see.

Hey now

Yea, so anyone happen to know the weatherman responsible for dropping to their knees and blowing the forecast for yesterday? Holy shit folks… I’m getting out of dinner, it was raining when I arrived… I get out and there’s already over an inch on the ground and it is falling damned heavy. Up until that point, every forecast I heard was rain. No point really following the weather anymore. Unless there’s an asteroid falling from the sky, I really don’t care.

Side note… if you want outstanding sushi, try out Park Place in Goshen. Just don’t order anything that is NOT sushi if you expect to be full.

Lastly… ABC Family is funny. They had this movie, “If Only” with Jennifer Love Hewitt in it… Good movie, but if I was 13 I’d seriously be violating a tube sock right now. Family my ass…lol.

Damned entertaining…

So I’m watching the confirmation hearings on Sam Alito, my wonderful state Senator Chuck Schumer trip all over the place trying to find a point to stick amongst all his talking points… but one thing is standing out beyond all the showboating by Chucky…

Who the fuck is the cameraman watching Alito and why does he insist on shaking the camera repeatedly?

Hey, why not put a big X on the screen.

Tools.

Douche.

So I go to pull out of my driveway this morning, and there is that yahoo twit who hit the BMW a few weeks back, yammering on her cellphone as she blows past my driveway at 20 over the posted limit.

I really dislike people.

Stupid question…

So I’m watching “A Man Apart” tonight on USA. They’ve got an ad for some sort of baby wash, Johnson and Johnson or something like that. Anyhow, these kids gotta be at most 5 years old, and they’re showing them naked on television.

Now if a guy had pics like that on his computer, he’d be arrested for child porn.

My question is, where’s the line? How does the FCC justify allowing child nudity on a soap ad, but adult nudity is avoided under penalty of fines? I’d much rather see one of those hot female adults topless in the shower during a soap ad than someone’s exploited kid.

I don’t hide my political views, anyone who reads this site knows that.

Even though I think Bush is the Man, some shit just makes me laugh… 😛

Some shit just doesn’t make sense.

Can’t say I’ve ever been physically depressed by a television show. Even those wacky World War Two specials on The History Channel manage to evoke a chuckle now and again…but I digress.

A couple years back, Joss Whedon (Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel) brought out of no-where a space western. Sounds odd. Real odd. Probably why I didn’t watch it, or at least catch on to it until it was too late.

So a week or two back, I rent Serenity, the movie based on the series Firefly. Holy crap. This is great!

Then I find out the show was canceled. Made absolutely no sense to me.

Picked up the show via Netflix, and when I finished the last episode on the last disc, I seriously felt depressed. The show was outstanding, the plots unrivaled, and the characters were just so real that even now I wonder where the series could have gone.

As far as I’m concerned, Fox may as well have cancelled Buffy and Angel. God knows how much these suits have made off the creative talents of Joss Whedon, that they jumped so quickly to cancel Firefly is beyond my ability to comprehend. Hell, I didn’t even like Buffy until Season 4, and then I was hooked enough to back-track through the previous seasons and catch up…investing a big chunk of change in the DVD’s, and always putting forth the effort to watch the reruns on Spike, the WB, etc… Whatever channel it was on, I watched it.

Maybe the mistake was trusting Fox at all… Whatever happened to the network of Married with Children? If anything, Fox broke the mold when they came about, taking chances on shows the other networks scoffed at. Heck, even their news channel in a matter of a few years has completely destroyed the other major cable news networks.

Sadly, Fox is now just another member of an entertainment industry which has put greed before entertainment. I could spend an entire evening watching the tripe that these jackasses call quality television and none of it would amount to the same effect evoked by a single episode of Firefly.

I know fans like myself would like the show to come back… even if it did, it would be one hell of an accomplishment to eclipse the giant Season 1 of Firefly has become in the hearts and minds of the fan-base.

Good job, Fox. This fart’s for you.

I’ve got some global warming right between my cheeks.

What passes for news these days… and that people actually buy into it… amazes me. Headline reads “Global warming 55 million years ago shifted ocean currents.” Interesting lead… The story would have us believe that “[the finding] strengthens modern-day concern about climate change.” Hmm… I don’t think there was such a thing as a Ford Excursion 55 million years ago… Dinosaur farts maybe?

Through “painstaking reconstruction” the scientists are unclear of what caused the temperature change and subsequent shift in ocean currents. It could have been volcanoes, dinosaur farts, or perhaps dangerous greenhouse gases from the lost city of Atlantis.

The scientists stress that this event 55 million years ago is a “lesson for mankind today” and they warn us that modern fossil fuel emissions are near what they were 55 million years ago.

So 55,000,000 years ago the climate may or may not have drastically changed (if you consider 40,000 years of change drastic) for reasons which are unknown, but all that the scientists can say with certainty is that modern man in a mere 200 years has effected the same climate change?

I’m sorry folks, but the Liberal agenda is absurd regardless of who is spouting it and whatever nonsense they use to back it up. 40 years ago we were headed for an ice age. 20 years ago were headed towards massive flooding. Now again we’re at another ice age. Shit, next thing you know there’ll be a Volcano in the middle of Beverly Hills…

The idea that we have caused global warming by the burning of fossil fuels, the use of hair spray and air conditioning, or even bovine flatulence is patently idiotic. The only idea which is more idiotic is that we can do anything to stop a force of nature we had absolutely nothing to do with starting.

Happy New Year

My last annoyance of 2005? That at the end, when the ball was dropping, the cameras kept leaving the ball. Sorry folks, but I don’t want to watch Regis Philbin counting. I want to see a big sparkly thing drop from the sky.

Anyhoo… Happy happy folks.
