You know… I think at this point, after seeing who Obama has stocked his cabinet with… I’d have to say that most of them are some of the biggest idiots and self-important types from recent political history, paired with his cunning ability to answer most questions with maybe….

We’re really not going to see much change in the next 4 years. While I am scared that some idiotic Socialist benefiting policies may get passed, we’re probably not going that route overnight (hell, we’ve been going that route for 16+ years now), and if anything the election outcome was a result of Conservative voters rejecting the Republican candidate more than a groundswell of support for the One.

We weren’t going to get Bushed again.

I’d say the next 2 years we could see some Saturday Night Life worthy moments, but most likely the rolls will balance out ala 1994 as long as someone shuts up the snobby Country Club “How’d you like to mow my lawn, ‘eh?” Republicans long enough to get some Conservatives in office.

An added note, one of my favorite talk radio personalities – Rush Limbaugh – always said that if the media hypes you up, and brings you fame and popularity – they can also just as easily tear you down. Such was evident with McCain, and many other personalities – but he went from being the ‘maverick’ of the Senate to well, you saw the reports.

So either way, whether the Obama administration is a success or a failure, the media is going to rebuild themselves on tearing him back down when necessary.

When will Americans – regardless of political ideology finally scream “ENOUGH!”?

Why is it that only now, after centuries of voting, does the process of voting become so complicated?

Why is it that every single vote is publicly challenged, but the choices of our leaders are not? (I’m looking at YOU, Barack Hussein Obama). The ridiculousness of this entire situation is nearly beyond my ability to comprehend.

It can not be denied that the only time voter fraud is brought up, or that votes are recounted to near infinity – is when a Republican is winning against a Democrat. I can only imagine the public outcry had John McCain eked out a win against Barack Hussein Obama.

Franken, you lost. Not by much – which should be taken VERY seriously by Coleman (c’mon man, you almost lost to a hack comic who hasn’t done anything noteworthy since he starred in Changing Places).

The minds that are hell bent on manipulating our election process must be rooted out, drug out into a field, and buried next to the grave that holds their long lost integrity. Voting really is a big deal – but the fact that every 2 years I have to hear about how someone else is stealing it for a myriad of excuses makes me sick. Prove it, put up – or for the sake of all things sane… SHUT UP.

Calif. Supreme Court to take up gay marriage ban

So the voters in California spoke, and they flat out said they do not want gay marriage in their state.

This is when the lawyers come in, and the courts come in, and democracy fails. I have no problem with individual states, and their population, voting democratically to support or ban just about anything. The Federal government doesn’t need to get involved, and the courts should not get involved. The court should say either that the ban is unconstitutional – or they should say “the people voted for it, GTFO.”

I think the whole idea of lawyers and courts overturning the will of the people – is vomit worthy.

Word to the Right – if you ever want to regain Congress or the White House, START SUPPORTING CONSERVATIVE CANDIDATES. Republican voter turnout was very low this year. Overall turnout was only up by 1%. Conservatism CAN win when there’s an actually Conservative running. We’re sick and tired of our betters pushing Liberal Republicans like McCain to back up the idea that the Right just isn’t moderate enough. We don’t need to be moderate! We have ideas that work! I’ve never seen Liberals come out after an election defeat saying they should be more Conservative… Why the hell should we be more Liberal?

How the GOP lost my vote.

You know what? !@#$ the big 3. Let them declare bankruptcy. I’m sure all my Socialist pals will cry foul at letting economic nature take its course, but I really don’t care. I was against the original panic bailout, and I’m against this one too.

These automakers cranked out huge, inefficient vehicles, raking in profit hand over fist until Katrina hit and the upward spiral of fuel prices made carting 3 kids around in a Ford Excursion pretty !@#$ing stupid.

What was the stopgap? Hybrid SUV’s. So now instead of getting 19mpg, you get 20mpg. NOT GOOD ENOUGH. You can get that same (or better) bump in MPG by avoiding jackrabbit starts and keeping your tires inflated properly. None of that changes the fact that you’re driving a vehicle that weighs nearly 3 tons.

So the fuel price went up, and suddenly cars like the Prius didn’t look so crazy. Smaller vehicles with higher MPG (look at Europe where fuel is about $6 a gallon on average, they don’t drive effing SUVs, and they aren’t running out of kids) became popular, and what did Detroit have?

NOT A !@#$ING THING. The focus was on big trucks, big suv’s, and big cars. The scraps were set aside to build the Calibur, Focus, and Cobalt. I’m sure they’re nice cars in their own right, but generally American offerings fall short in their compact cars when it comes to refinement (which is why I drive a VW).

Once that big SUV fad died, which was inevitable, they were screwed. Their next solution? The Volt. Neat concept. Electric motors drive the wheels, tiny gas motor keeps the batteries charged. 100mpg, and $40,000 sticker price. Are you !@#$ing kidding me?

Let them go bankrupt, fire off the CEO jerks who lacked the foresight to know that the solution was more efficient vehicles – not more trucks, and maybe rise from the ashes with a new found respect for the free market.
