Talk about in tears laughing…

McCAIN: And some advocates for Senator Obama are less restrained in their enthusiasm, even in the media. All right, he usually is at table 228, for example, my old friend and Green Room pal Chris Matthews. He used to like me, but he found somebody new — somebody who opened his eyes, somebody who gave him a thrill up his leg. (Laughter) And we’ve talked about it. I told him maverick I can do, but messiah is above my pay grade.

McCAIN: You know, it’s going to be a long, long night at MSNBC if I manage to pull this thing off.For starters (Applause)….I understand that Keith Olbermann has ordered up his very own “Mission Accomplished” banner. And they can hang that in whatever padded room has been reserved for him. (Laughter) Seriously, Chris, if they need any decorating advice on that banner, ask Keith to call me so I can tell him right where to put it.

McCAIN: So, you know, I had fun with the media and we all know the press is really an independent, civic-minded and nonpartisan group, like ACORN… (laughter) In case you haven’t been following my opponent’s get out the vote campaign, ACORN is helping to register groups previously excluded, overlooked and underserved — second graders, the deceased, Disney characters. In Florida, they even turned up an ACORN registration form that bore the name of one Mickey Mouse. We’re checking the paw prints.

Kill him? Didn’t think so…

Secret Service says “Kill him” allegation unfounded

McCain HAS repudiated every negative attack… much to my dismay.

Obama’s retort?  A flat out lie.

All hail the USSA.

ACORN…

All the news involving ACORN (American Community Organizers Radical Network) and voter fraud really doesn’t surprise me.  Obama is a radical, and a former community organizer.  Even all the crocodile tears by offended community organizers after Palin brought them up didn’t matter much to me.

The basic point is – his background as a community organizer has nothing to do with his capability to be Chairman of the United Socialist States of America.  In my opinion, being a community organizer with the current ACORN controversy should equate to a set of concrete shoes for Barack Hussein Obama’s election hopes…

Over the past 8 years, every election that was close was hyped to the hilt about voter fraud, and how the Democrats would challenge any losses – unless they won, in that case the rightful order would be restored.

We all know how that worked out, giving us a Congress working hard to outrun George W Bush for the lowest approval ratings in American history… but no, there was no fraud.

Now it’s on the other foot, weeks before an election – valid and verified examples of voter fraud by an organization built by radicals, for radicals…  but the talk in the media really isn’t all that loud (anywhere other than Fox News, those evil, vile, vast right wing conspiratorial asshats who DARE to report what the burgeoise MSM does not deem WORTHY for our simple proletariat eyes.)

AFAIAC, if Obama wins, the election was stolen.  If McCain wins, I pray that Palin is a stronger influence on his decision making than his penchant for crossing the aisle and throwing the Conservative movement under the bus.

Like Limbaugh has said, McCain will need to be dragged across the finish line, most likely kicking and screaming…  But I’d rather have someone who is center/right than someone who is widely known as the biggest Liberal in the Senate in charge of our country.  Quite frankly, I can’t afford it.

The little engine that…

Started with this…

2 and a half months…

3 to 4 days a week…

4-8 hours per day…

All that’s left is to install the hood, and drive her home.

Purrs like a kitten, and thanks to the Flowtech headers, Summit racing glasspack exhaust, and 3″ pipe from front to back… roars like a LION. I’m giddy!

Nothing annoys me more…

Nothing annoys me more than when a group of political nitwits get together and start rattling off nonsense.’

“You know who I like?  Joe Biden.  He really knows his stuff!”

Then how come he didn’t know that in 1929 there was no television or Franklin Delano Roosevelt in the whitehouse?  Please.

“Well what about Palin?  What’s she got?”

More executive experience than Obama, Biden, or even McCain.

“Oh please, Obama has plenty of executive experience”

I know, like the Annenberg Challenge in Chicago right?  The one set up by a terrorist?

“Oh don’t distort the facts!”

Like what, that William Ayers got millions for Chicago schools and used it to hire ACORN to radicalize the students?

Seriously folks, the amount of effort being put into burying the recent news that Ayers and Obama didn’t just cross paths, but that Obama took care of chairing the Annenberg Challenge which had funding secured by an unrepentant terrorist whose only regret is that they didn’t do MORE (re: bombing the Pentagon and police stations) is astonishing.  This is stuff that they knew all along, but now that it’s leaked, heartily gets buried by the NYT.

I’m sorry, but I care that this candidate is friends with obnoxious racists and terrorists.  I’m a little more concerned by this than McCain’s relationship to the Keating 5 (where he was all but exhonorated of his involvement), or the fact that Sarah Palin just might be Tina Fey’s only source of employment.  Obama had no problem with John Glenn stumping for him, and Glenn was equally complicit according to the public record.

There is nothing wrong with challenging the unformed opinions of others.  I just got labeled a “killjoy” for throwing a wrench into the Obama lovefest I walked into… but so be it.

Dare I say it…

Should the election bring a McCain Palin administration…  Palin’s going to be the only politician in office with any balls.

Maybe the rest will learn by example.  God knows they should.

Tailgaters…

I never get tailgaters.  This morning on the way in, I had a lovely woman in a green Chevy minivan who was tailgating the car behind me, then when that car pulled off, proceeded to tailgate me.  I stopped abruptly at the first stop sign we came to, hoping she’d get it… nope.  So then I proceeded to wash my windshield.

Wow.  You would have thought I hit the Knight Rider emergency brake, she backed off by about 6 carlengths.

So we continue down the road, and as we near the school zone and I slow – she gets on my bumper again… not realizing by the 3 carlengths I have between the Audi ahead of me that I’m not that sort of driver… So this time I clean my rear window.  Again, she brake checks and drops 6 carlengths back.

Maybe you could just… not tailgate?

Forward MARCH

I haven’t just chatted about me lately.  Sure, plenty of updates about my current projects, and of course some politics, but generally – I tend to skip me because there are only a few close friends who know more than 50% and I’d like to keep it that way.

I’m currently in my usual state of flux.  Working a job that doesn’t satisfy me, living in a town that doesn’t identify with me, and generally repeating the same old song and dance while trying to avoid the low bridge I keep slamming my head into.

Luckily/unluckily, for the past 2 months I’ve pretty much put my house hunt and everything else on hold while I work to get my truck back on the road.

I want to leave this area, completely, and only look back when it involves a family gathering or the special few who honor me every day with their friendship.  Over the years I’ve considered moving to England where I have family that might provide a roof for a short time, San Diego, CA which I completely adore, but would find myself alone, and Vermont – where again I would be alone but the environment and people are so beautiful that I really wouldn’t care.

In short, I’m looking at Vermont, seriously right now.  I’m mainly familiar with Northern VT, Burlington, and the other surrounding areas.  The cost of living is less, the people are friendly, and there is room for me to carve out a little niche to spread my wings.

I just feel trapped here.  Stuck in old habits, running in circles.  A week of vacation now and again simply doesn’t cut it.  It’s almost like everything that is familiar to me is poison to me, holding me back from really finding a home where I can grow.  I need real positive change in my life and I simply do not believe that it can be found in the tri-state area.

This past week I was called to Jury duty for a murder trial, but was excused.  As interesting as it was to me, the whole process of so called ‘justice,’ I discovered that I met the victim – a restaurant owner, and that any chance of providing impartial judgment went out the window when I remembered him.  I just hope that “justice” does prevail, and the killer finds a needle in his arm.

Is it just me or is everything just becoming more short tempered and violent?  I was watching the news the other day (a mistake, I know) and saw that the murder rate in Middletown, NY is out of control.  People are killing each other and likely getting away with it.  On the road, everyone is in a rush.  Just this morning I saw an SUV driver try to pass a tractor trailer in heavy fog, in a no passing zone…  Nobody has any appreciation for life anymore.

When I used to drive my truck, before the engine blew up and I proceeded to take the entire thing apart and restore it… I enjoyed just lazily driving from point A to point B.  No rush, taking in the scenery, the air, and knowing that wherever I am going is not going anywhere.  Who knows, maybe that’ll be my vice again once its on the road, I’ve always had an abnormal connection with my vehicles.  Still, I don’t think patience, peace, or sanity can be found around here.

So who knows, in the next few weeks, I may just pack up my tent and trudge north.  Either way, something has to change because I’m seriously exhausted by the status quo.  Where I am is sucking the life out of me.  People are sucking the life out of me.  My job is sucking the life out of me.  I can’t fix just one thing and expect everything to change for the better.  Everything needs to change.

I want my life back, and I’d rather get it back now before another 30 years pass and I’m still bitching about Warwick.
